Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston, part of the Chedraui USA group, is seeking a Meat Clerk for Store 012 Houston-Lyons. You will manage the meat department displays, assist customers, and process special orders at the Lyons Ave location.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and the stamina to stand and move throughout a fast-paced grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags and memos.
• Write simple correspondence and present information to customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous customer service.
• Clean shelves and display cases; rotate and refill Meat Wrap displays.
• Assist with special orders and coordinate with Meat Cutter on items to be cut.
• Must be able to lift up to 50–60 lbs; stand and walk for extended periods.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision, the Meat Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful customer service. Assists the customers, cleans shelves, and displays cases. Cleans, fills, and rotates the Meat Wrap displays. Works with customers to take special orders as well as with the Meat Cutter to determine which items need to be cut. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
