Job Summary

Maintain pricing, stocking, and rotation of merchandise in the meat department.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist in unloading merchandise.
• Transport stock to storage areas.
• Open cartons and price items accurately when needed.
• Keep store shelves fully stocked according to tag allocations.
• Assist in building store displays.
• Rotate perishable merchandise and remove out-of-code products.
• Control damaged goods.
• Assist in cleaning and sanitizing the meat preparation area.
• Present the assigned section neatly before leaving at the end of the shift.
• Follow policies and procedures established for the department.
• Greet customers and be observant of their needs.
• Maintain a neat appearance according to dress code policies.
• Adhere to all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Supplemental Job Functions

• Maintain price and protection programs.
• Keep sales and back room areas clean and organized.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to read and write for tagging merchandise, inventory management, and product rotation.
• Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise accurately.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds at least 40% of the time.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
