Job Summary

Job Title: Meat Clerk (Evenings and Weekends)

Reports To: Meat Manager

The role involves maintaining stock levels within the Meat Department's sales floor, replenishing products as needed, and providing exceptional service to all guests both behind the service counter and on the sales floor.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist guests with finding items on or off the sales floor
• Receive, prepare, and fulfill guest orders and special requests
• Provide excellent guest service by professionally answering department calls and engaging on the sales floor
• Support team members and contribute positively to the Meat Department culture
• Address guest concerns and resolve issues using the boomerang principle
• Ensure high-quality standards by inspecting, rotating, maintaining proper temperatures, and replenishing meat products
• Maintain proper inventory levels of supplies like containers, wraps, and tags
• Follow food safety protocols and maintain logs
• Meet quality standards and quantity expectations by 10 am and 5 pm
• Maintain regular attendance and communicate in case of absences
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Requirements include:

• Effective communication with customers and staff
• Ability to handle a stressful environment
• Understanding of safety requirements and policies
• Knowledge of equipment and procedures like slicers, lifting techniques, and trash management

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Stand, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly
• Lift up to 80 pounds occasionally
• Work in extreme temperatures, such as freezers and kitchens
• Repetitive hand and wrist movements
• Fast-paced environment adaptability

Work Schedule

This is a part-time or full-time position with varying shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
