Little Giant Farmer’s Market is seeking a part-time Meat Clerk in Riverdale, GA. You will assist customers with special requests, locate items in the meat case, and stock packaged and fresh meat. You’ll help the cutter wrap and package cuts of beef, poultry, and pork while upholding quality standards and safe handling practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in meat department or grocery retail preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
• Strong customer-service orientation and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with special requests and help locate items in the meat case.
• Stock packaged and fresh meat; ensure proper rotation and display.
• Assist the meat cutter with wrapping and packaging beef, poultry, and pork.
• Uphold quality standards and safe handling practices; report to Market Manager and store manager.

A Meat Clerk is responsible for helping customers with special requests, finding items in the case, stocking packaged and fresh meat, helping the cutter wrap and package cuts of beef, poultry, and pork. The Meat Clerk will also be sure to uphold the quality standards of Little Giant as well as the safe handling practices. The Meat Clerk will report to the Market Manager as well as the store manager. This job is part-time and includes advancement opportunities within the company.

Little Giant Farmer’s Market was founded in Riverdale, GA, in 1984 with a focus on fresh produce. The store expanded into a full-service supermarket and has been growing ever since. Little Giant is in the process of being updated with a rebrand, store remodels, new products, and a new pricing structure—to name a few.
