Job Description

In this role, you will work alongside a team to educate customers on different types and cuts of meat to complete their meals, and ensure the freshest meat products are available throughout the day. Responsibilities

1. Provide exceptional service to customers.
2. Keep shelves and the service counter stocked with fresh products.
3. Take orders and prepare items for display by cutting, packaging, and labeling products.
4. Unload daily deliveries and stock cases, displays, and backroom coolers with new and existing products and inventory.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The physical demands are classified as medium. Work includes walking, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, repetitive hand and arm movements, occasional heavy lifting, bending, reaching, including lifting above shoulder height, and continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. Items lifted typically weigh 15–40 pounds, with occasional lifts over 50 pounds. Assistance may be available for heavy items. Repetition and movement involve moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. Exposure to allergens and cold temperatures (33–55°F) is possible. Equipment used includes box cutters, utility carts, scales, meat knives, and band saws.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, preferably in food service, grocery, or retail settings.
• Knowledge of different cuts of meat and poultry.
