Job summary

Eataly West Palm Beach is seeking a Salumi and Formaggi Artisan to join our cheese department, home to 500+ cheeses sourced from Italy and locally. You will prepare, package, receive and stock products while sharing passion with guests.

Responsibilities include assisting guests with selections, labeling and weighing, maintaining neat displays and following FIFO standards, plus supporting daily operations. Availability on weekends and lifting up to 50 pounds are required; training and growth

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills required to assist guests and share product knowledge.
• Basic math skills for weighing, pricing, and packaging.
• Basic knife skills for handling cheese and charcuterie.
• Knowledge of cheese is highly preferred to educate guests.

• Weighs, labels and packages products; completes food preparation promptly.
• Maintains neat counter and display refrigerators; notifies management of low stock.

Job Description

At Eataly, this role is referred to as a Salumi and Formaggi Artisan. Eataly’s cheese department is home to 500+ of the highest quality cheeses specially sourced from Italy, internationally and locally. Many of the cheeses are entirely exclusive to Eataly. A Salumi and Formaggi Artisan prepares, packages, receives and stocks product. A Salumi and Formaggi Artisan has passion for cheese and the ability to share that passion with Eataly’s guests. Reports to the Store Operations Manager.

• Assists guests with cheese and meat selection and shares knowledge of products
• Weighs, labels and packages products and completes food preparation in a timely manner
• Ensures counter and display refrigerators neatly and accurately as per the pricing menu, and promptly informs management when food quantities or supplies are low
• Merchandizes displays attractively and rotates products per quality and First In First Out (FIFO) standards
• Cleans work station thoroughly
• Performs other duties as required or assigned
