Job summary

Eataly West Palm Beach is hiring a Meat & Cheese Associate for a full-time role. You will assist guests with cheese and meat selections, weigh and package products, and keep the counter and displays well organized.

The position reports to the Store Operations Manager and requires physical activity including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. Flexibility to work weekends, use of scales and packaging equipment, and familiarity with FIFO merchandising are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required for weighing and pricing.
• Knowledge of cheese is highly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists guests with cheese and meat selection and shares product knowledge.
• Weights, labels and packages products and completes food preparation promptly.
• Maintains neat counter and display refrigerators, informs management when supplies are low.
• Merchandises displays and rotates products using FIFO standards.
• Cleans work station thoroughly and performs other duties as required.

At Eataly, this role is referred to as a Salumi and Formaggi Artisan. Eataly’s cheese department is home to 500+ of the highest quality cheeses specially sourced from Italy, internationally and locally. Many of the cheeses are entirely exclusive to Eataly. A Salumi and Formaggi Artisan prepares, packages, receives and stocks product. A Salumi and Formaggi Artisan has passion for cheese and the ability to share that passion with Eataly’s guests. Reports to the Store Operations Manager.

• Assists guests with cheese and meat selection and shares knowledge of products
• Weighs, labels and packages products and completes food preparation in a timely manner
• Ensures counter and display refrigerators neatly and accurately as per the pricing menu, and promptly informs management when food quantities or supplies are low
• Merchandizes displays attractively and rotates products per quality and First In First Out (FIFO) standards
• Cleans work station thoroughly
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Job Requirements

• Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
