Source Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Meat Category Manager for Shelbyville, TN. The role drives profitable meat sales, provides merchandising expertise, and serves as liaison between the company and stores.

The position requires strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills, plus knowledge of meat products and merchandising best practices. DOE determines final compensation; base around 75k with additional incentives.

Qualifications

• Retail meat merchandising experience required; equivalent experience acceptable.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills for reports and briefs.
• Excellent communication and client-facing capabilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and perform hands-on merchandising.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular store visits to support meat sales growth and provide guidance.
• Analyze departmental financials, operations, and competitor strategies; provide actionable recommendations.
• Develop and implement meat merchandising plans, including allocation programs and plan-o-grams.
• Assist with weekly ad planning by coordinating with vendors, department managers, and buyers.
• Monitor inventory, quality control, and warehouse program compliance.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, sanitation standards, and federal/state regulations (FDA).
• Utilize technology and the Flawless Execution method to track and report results.
