Job summary

SpartanNash in Caledonia, MI is seeking a Meat Clerk to prepare, package, label and stock meat products while supporting production and merchandising plans. You will follow safety and guest experience guidelines and work with other departments to achieve store growth.

Prior retail or meat department experience is preferred; a High School Diploma or GED is required, and you should be able to read, write, and perform basic math. This is a full-time position in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce meat products per production plan.
• Package and label meat products as instructed.
• Merchandise meat products per flight plan and merchandising standards.
• Stock backroom with meat products, rotating and dating cases.
• Notify Meat Manager when products or supplies need ordering.
• Collaborate with other departments to drive store growth.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines.
• Adhere to guest experience standards and service guidelines.
• Perform other tasks as needed by the department.
