Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Meat Associate in Williamston, MI to prepare, package, and merchandise meat products. You will stock backrooms, follow production plans, and ensure safety and guest experience standards are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented and careful with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce meat products as per production plan.
• Package and label meat products according to program.
• Merchandise meat products following flight plan and merchandising standards.
• Stock backroom with meat products; rotate and date cases.
• Notify Meat Manager when products or supplies need ordering.
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve store growth.
• Understand basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, divide.
• Communicate recipes, weights, measures and cleaning steps to teammates.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food-safety guidelines.
• Adhere to guest experience guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments as needed.
