Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the inspection, calibration, and repair of instruments associated with measurement, control, and analysis of natural gas, LPG, and other hydrocarbons. The Technician maintains system balances and manages customer relations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, operate, inspect, maintain, test, and calibrate natural gas measurement equipment. Provide technical support for metering and regulation stations in the assigned area.
2. Monitor measurement system performance, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis on anomalies.
3. Inspect, maintain, and repair measurement devices such as flow computers, meters, gas chromatographs, and analyzers.
4. Configure and program telemetry units used in smart metering.
5. Oversee meter proving processes and witness third-party calibrations.
6. Maintain accurate, complete, and regulatory-compliant documentation.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Ability to pass drug test and background check
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts

Skills:

• Calibration: Perform accurate calibration considering environmental factors.
• Data Quality: Ensure data integrity for operational accuracy.
• Gas Measurement Fundamentals: Understand conversions, adjustments, and measurement uncertainty.
• Industry Standards: Knowledge of API, AGA, GPA standards.
• Instrumentation: Practical knowledge of temperature, pressure, and flow measurement devices.
• Safety: Recognize and manage safety risks.
• Safety Awareness: Identify hazards and evaluate work environment safety.
