MDS Solutions - Director of Clinical Reimbursement Consulting

Join our team as the Director of Clinical Reimbursement Consulting at MDS Solutions, a division of Key Rehabilitation. We are seeking a dynamic, self-driven leader to manage our remote MDS division, overseeing MDS Coordinators and Clinical Reimbursement Specialists.

This role involves providing billable consulting services such as MDS coordination, RAI assessments, Care Plan development, PDPM, Case Mix reimbursement optimization, and Quality Measure analysis. The DCRC will also train and educate staff to ensure accurate reimbursement and compliance with federal quality reporting standards. The ideal candidate excels both independently and collaboratively, leveraging clinical expertise, analytical skills, strong communication, and sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on reimbursement systems and processes for healthcare agencies and facilities.
  • Assist clients with assessing, planning, and implementing reimbursement optimization strategies tailored to their needs.
  • Provide technical consultation and interim MDS management support.
  • Stay current with standards, regulations, and best practices in quality reporting and reimbursement.
  • Deliver high-quality services, including education, research, system analysis, and comprehensive presentations.
  • Identify training needs and develop targeted training sessions.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations within scope of work.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience, including 3+ years with the RAI process.
  • Current, unrestricted RN license.
  • RAC-CT certification.
  • Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and leadership skills.
