MDS Solutions, a division of Key Rehabilitation, is seeking a dynamic, self-driven team member for our remote MDS division as the Director of Clinical Reimbursement Consulting.

The Director of Clinical Reimbursement Consulting (DCRC) oversees MDS Coordinators and Clinical Reimbursement Specialists within MDS Solutions. Responsibilities include performing billable consulting services such as MDS coordination, RAI assessments, Care Plan development, PDPM, Case Mix reimbursement optimization, and Quality Measure analysis. The DCRC provides training and education to ensure accurate reimbursement and compliance with federal quality reporting standards. This role requires strong clinical and analytical skills, excellent communication, customer service, and sound professional judgment.

The role includes:

  • Serving as a trusted advisor on reimbursement systems and processes
  • Assessing, planning, developing, and implementing tailored reimbursement systems
  • Providing technical consultation and interim MDS management support
  • Staying current with regulations, QM measures, and the RAI process
  • Delivering high-quality services, including reimbursement optimization and education
  • Identifying training needs and conducting targeted sessions
  • Maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience, including 3+ years with the RAI process
  • Current, unrestricted RN license
  • RAC-CT certification
  • Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and professional judgment skills
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
