Job summary

Regency at Fremont is seeking an MDS Nurse to oversee accurate MDS/RAI completion and support care planning for residents in Michigan. The role emphasizes timely documentation and adherence to federal and state regulations, contributing to individualized resident care.

The ideal candidate has prior MDS/RAI experience, strong knowledge of PDPM and regulatory standards, and demonstrates independent working skills with leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Prior MDS/RAI experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of RAI guidelines, PDPM, ICD-10 coding, Quality Measures and CARE planning.
• Understanding of PPS and Case Mix systems and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to function independently with strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accurate and timely completion of the MDS and related documentation.
• Support care planning and documentation in accordance with regulations.
• Ensure assessments reflect residents' clinical status and support individualized care.

USD 12,000 Sign On Bonus for Part Time

The MDS Nurse is responsible for assisting with the accurate and timely completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), including the Minimum Data Set (MDS), Care Area Assessments (CAAs), care planning and supporting documentation in accordance with federal and state regulations. This role ensures assessments reflect each resident’s clinical status and supports individualized care planning.

Education and/or Experience:

• Prior MDS/RAI experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of RAI guidelines, PDPM, ICD-10 coding, Quality Measures, and Care Area Assessments and Care Planning processes.
• Knowledge of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, including the principles of the Prospective Payment Process (PPS) and Case Mix systems strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability in independent functioning and strong leadership.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• RN with one year experience and excellent assessment skills preferred.
• Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
