Mecklenburg Health & Rehabilitation seeks an MDS nurse to complete resident assessments and participate in the admission process. The position offers a stable schedule in a fast-paced, fun working environment with a sign-on bonus available.

Responsibilities include completing the MDS process accurately, monitoring CMI scores related to Medicaid reimbursement, and ensuring timely Medicare assessment submissions while maintaining knowledge of applicable regulations.

Formación

• Knowledge of MDS processes and accuracy in documentation.
• Understanding Medicare, PDPM, and Medicaid criteria.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in the admission process of prospective residents in terms of their nursing needs and appropriate placement.
• Complete and assure the accuracy of the MDS process for residents.
• Maintain current working knowledge of Medicare, PDPM, and Medicaid criteria.
• Monitor Case Mix Index (CMI) scores, looking for potential risks and/or changes that may affect Medicaid reimbursement.
• Monitor Medicare assessment schedules and nursing documentation to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
• Demonstrable knowledge of state and federal regulations.
