Parsons Hill Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Worcester, MA is seeking a full-time MDS Coordinator to oversee the MDS process, plan resident care, and ensure CMS guidelines are followed. The role involves coordinating MDS, reviewing medical history, completing CMS item sets, and maintaining privacy of health information.

Eligible candidates include LPN or RN with MA licensure; RN preferred. Prior MDS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN/LPN in this state.
• Prior MDS experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate the MDS process.
• Oversees ADL training for facility and staff.
• Issues and delivers denial notices timely and appropriately.
• Completes and transmits all CMS approved item sets (MDS).
• Follow CMS regulatory guidelines as described in the RAI Manual.
• Protect residents' health information per privacy policies.
• Maintain Medicare meeting minutes per Medicare program agreement.
• Issue Medicare denial letters per CMS regulations.
• Manage residents’ Medicare/Insurance benefits.
• Maintain adequate systems to support billed services.
