Job summary

Novato Healthcare Center seeks an MDS Coordinator under the supervision of the Director of Nursing Services to coordinate IDT for MDS assessments in compliance with state and federal regulations. This role requires current RN licensure and strong communication skills.

The incumbent will ensure timely MDS processes, develop and evaluate care plans, and perform nursing interventions as ordered, while adhering to infection control standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• RN licensure is required.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong administrative and organizational abilities.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Two years nursing experience in long-term care preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Medicare/MDS resident assessment process.
• Ensure IDT completes the MDS Assessment timely.
• Coordinate development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.
• Administer or implement nursing interventions as indicated by the plan of care.
• Provide nursing care in accordance with infection control standards.
• Follow safety policies when performing nursing care.
• Initiate emergency measures as needed per center policy.
