Job summary

Riverview Jefferson is seeking an experienced RN MDS Coordinator with strong MDS/MMQ expertise to join our team in Detroit. You will support resident care planning, ensure regulatory compliance, and serve as a resource for care coordination.

Responsibilities include completing MMQ documents, communicating with state departments, and promoting high-quality care. A Michigan RN license and prior MDS experience are required. We value teamwork, education, and continuous improvement in our facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid license as a Registered Nurse in Michigan REQUIRED.
• Excellent Resident Assessment Skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills; oral and written communication skills.
• Previous experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in resident care planning activities, including the MDS and MMQ process.
• Serve as a resource for resident care planning activities.
• Complete MMQ and turnaround documents in a timely manner and communicate with state departments as needed.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, regulatory, accreditation, and reimbursement guidelines.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and program development.
• Attend department and facility meetings and promote effective communication among staff, residents, families, physicians, and referrals.

Details available at Interview.Riverview Jefferson is looking for an experienced RN MDS Coordinator to join the team!The MDS Coordinator provides assistance in Resident care planning activities, including the MDS and MMQ ProcessServes as a resource person for resident care planning activities.Completes MMQ and turnaround documents in a timely manner and communicate as needed with appropriate state departments.Ensures that the quality and appropriateness of resident care meets or exceeds company and industry standards and ensures that all nursing services are in compliance with state, federal, legal, regulatory, accreditation, and reimbursement guidelines.Supports program development activities.Attends and participates in department/facility meetings, as required.Accesses continuing education opportunities appropriate to responsibilities of the job.Promotes optimal communication among program staff members, facility staff, referral sources, physicians, and residents.Appropriately accesses the resources of the company’s regional offices for consultation and program development support. Seeks out external resources through conferences, workshops, etc. as necessary. Routinely shares personal knowledge with staff, other managers, and facility personnel.Demonstrates flexibility in adjusting to change, resident needs, and customer expectations; meets company standards relating to deadlines and attendance.Established and maintains exemplary standards for department appearance and staff presentment; ensures compliance with company and facility policies and procedures.Adheres to all safety and risk management protocols and programs.Participates in direct and indirect resident care activities as warranted.Participates in quality improvement activities, which reduce cost and increase efficiency through improved systems and processes.Exhibits courtesy, compassion, and respect to residents, families, visitors, physicians, administrators, and coworkers.Performs other duties or functions as directed.Working knowledge of MMD/MMQ rules and regulations.
