Job summary

Genesis Healthcare in Moses Lake, WA is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our long-term care team. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate reimbursement for patient services through the MDS process, CAAs, and care plan development.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to monitor patient conditions, coordinate assessments, support staff training, and stay current with RAI regulations through ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN in good standing.
• Experience in hospital or long-term care setting required.
• Prior MDS and Care Plan experience required.
• Knowledge of long-term care laws, regs, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Patient Assessment through MDS and CAAs.
• Develop individualized care plans and identify patient needs.
• Contribute to RAI process and electronic MDS transmission.
• Identify changes in patient condition with the team and schedule assessments.
• Support Activities of Daily Living training for staff.
• Attend educational programs to stay current with RAI/PPS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in meeting Genesis business objectives by ensuring the appropriate reimbursement for patient care services.
• Participate in the Patient Assessment Process through completion of items on the MDS and the accompanying Care Area Assessments (CAAs).
• Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans, identify patient needs and projected outcomes as required by Federal and State regulations.
• Contribute to the nursing center interdisciplinary Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process while following RAI guidelines for completion, computer encoding, and electronic transmission of the MDS.
• Identify changes in patient condition in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team and coordinate scheduling and completion of indicated assessments.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living training for new hires and ongoing continuing education for existing staff.
• Attend educational programs to maintain knowledge with current RAI/Prospective Payment System regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed by the state and in good standing.
• Previous experience in a hospital, long-term facility, or other healthcare related facility is required.
• Prior experience completing MDSs and Care Plans is required.
• Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care.

Compensation

Posted Salary Range: USD $100,000.00 - USD $115,000.00 /Yr.

Bonus: USD $10,000.00
