Job summary

Gainesville Health & Rehab Center in Gainesville, VA is seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator RN to lead the MDS/RAI process, care plans, and reimbursement activities within a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

The role requires current VA RN license, significant MDS 3.0 experience, and RAC-CT certification within one year of hire. You’ll ensure deadlines, accuracy, and regulatory compliance while supporting quality improvement and staff education.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing in Virginia.
• Significant MDS 3.0 experience.
• RAC-CT certification required within one year of hire; maintain current once certified.
• Strong computer skills; ability to work independently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to interdisciplinary team for management of the MDS, Clinical Reimbursement, Care Plan processes and utilization management, in accordance with current federal, state, and local requirements and regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Ensure that the MDS/RAI deadlines and accuracy requirements are met while ensuring that coding most appropriately captures each patient’s acuity and needs for accurate and optimal reimbursement.
• Assist Center Leadership with Quality Improvement efforts, staff education, and regulatory compliance as it relates to the RAI process, Quality care, Reimbursement, and Quality Measures and Quality Reporting requirements.
• Demonstrate and promote a positive, collaborative, and caring team environment.
