Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a current Nebraska RN license.
• Extensive knowledge in MDS (Minimum Data Set).
• One year of MDS experience in a skilled nursing/long-term care facility.
• Prior clinical experience in a long-term care setting.
• Attention to detail and ability to direct others and manage schedules.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible, decisive, and able to work in high-pressure situations.
• Solid computer skills.
• Proficiency in MDS 3.0.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10 CM diagnosis codes to residents.
• Accountable for Medicare Part A and insurance case management.
• Assess residents' needs and coordinate resident-driven care.
• Oversee assessment process and scheduling; ensure timely completion.
• Transmit assessments to the Dept. of Health and review results for policy updates.
• Coordinate care plans and ensure facility resources meet patient needs.
• Create schedules for Medicare/Medicaid; manage coverage starts and denials.
• Stay updated on Medicare regulatory changes and reimbursement docs.
