Job summary

Maris Grove by Erickson Senior Living in Glen Mills, PA is seeking an MDS Coordinator responsible for coordinating the Resident Assessment Instrument process, scheduling, opening/finalizing MDS, and submitting assessments to both the MDS analysis vendor and CMS.

MDS Coordinator is also responsible for providing education on the RAI process and required documentation for both Interdisciplinary Team and line staff.

Qualifications

• RN licensed to practice in the state.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Continuing Care.
• In-depth knowledge of MDS processes (MDS, RAPs, Care Planning, UR).
• Experience documenting in an EMR preferred.
• Successful completion of AANAC MDS Coordinator Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the completion of the MDS for skilled nursing/long-term care residents.
• Monitoring all aspects of compliance related to MDS completion and transmission.
• Maintaining and sharing expertise related to Medicare Reimbursement.
• Partnering with therapy and finance to ensure accurate billing for MDS-related areas.
• Completing MDS audits to ensure documentation supports reimbursement standards and identifying corrective actions.
• Using the EMR per Erickson standards to manage MDS and Care Plan processes.
• Educating skilled nursing staff on MDS processes and documentation requirements.
