Job summary

Mecklenburg Health & Rehabilitation is seeking an MDS nurse to complete resident assessments and support admissions. The role offers a stable schedule in a fast-paced, fun working environment with a sign-on bonus available.

You will monitor MDS processes, stay current with Medicare, PDPM and Medicaid criteria, and ensure timely documentation while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. This is a hands-on role requiring collaboration with care teams to optimize resident

• Participate in the admission process of prospective residents in terms of their nursing needs and appropriate placement.
• Complete and assure the accuracy of the MDS process for residents.
• Maintain current working knowledge of Medicare, PDPM, and Medicaid criteria.
• Monitor Case Mix Index (CMI) scores, looking for potential risks and/or changes that may affect Medicaid reimbursement.
• Monitor Medicare assessment schedules and nursing documentation to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
• Demonstrable knowledge of state and federal regulations
