Job summary

Southern HealthCare Management is seeking an LPN with MDS experience to serve as an MDS Coordinator. The role focuses on developing and coordinating the RAI process to ensure compliance with standards, physician orders, company policies and applicable regulations.

The coordinator will bring expertise in MDS, RAI, OBRA, and Medicare/Medicaid, with a preference for prior long-term care nursing experience, and will operate within a Florida setting.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted LPN licensure in the state of practice required.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid programs, LTC payer systems, OBRA, the RAI and MDS processes preferred or prior nursing in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and coordinate the RAI process to ensure compliance with professional standards and regulations.
• Ensure adherence to physician orders, company policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
• Support and coordinate MDS-related activities within the facility.

As an MDS Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, ensuring the center stays in compliance with current professional practice standards, physician's orders, company policies and procedures, and local, state, and federal regulations.

Entry Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse LPN licensure in the state of practice required
• Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs, LTC payer systems, the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA), the RAI process, and the MDS process preferred OR prior nursing in a long-term care facility
