Job summary

Patapsco Healthcare is seeking an MDS Coordinator in a skilled nursing facility setting. The nurse assesses and documents residents’ health information through admission and care to ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid requirements.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland RN license or multi-state/compact license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification is required.
• In-depth knowledge of MDS, nursing care methods, health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents' health and well-being from admission through stay using MDS process.
• Plan, document, and submit compiled information.
• Communicate with staff, residents, and families to address care and administrative concerns.
• Maintain complete healthcare records and reports using PCC as applicable.
• Investigate patient/family complaints and take appropriate actions.
