Job summary

First Atlantic Healthcare seeks a dedicated MDS Coordinator / Case Mix Nurse to lead resident assessments, ensure coding accuracy, and support interdisciplinary teams. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, you will drive regulatory compliance and manage the RAI process to maintain case mix validity and high-quality care.

Maine licensure (RN or LPN) is required; RAC-CT preferred. Strong assessment, care planning, and MDS/ICD-10 experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Maine licensure as RN or LPN is required.
• Experience with MDS and ICD-10 coding preferred; RAC-CT preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, care planning, and delivery of long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Assessment & RAI process: oversee resident assessments, ensure coding accuracy.
• Care planning: review and complete care plans for accuracy and case mix validity.
• Interdisciplinary coordination: instruct staff on documentation and MDS timelines.
• Education: guide disciplines on MDS items, CAAs, and quality indicators.
