Responsibilities

1. Oversees the daily operations of MDS submissions and reimbursement.
2. Audits MDS submissions and reimbursements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
3. Identifies opportunities for improvement in MDS processes and tracks PDPM scores to ensure appropriate care for seniors/clients.
4. Coordinates and manages the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process.
5. Ensures compliance with all state and federal MDS transmission requirements.
6. Serves on community boards and committees, works independently to resolve issues, and acquires expertise in MDS functions.
7. Performs chart analysis to ensure necessary elements are present and complete.
8. Assists with resident care activities as needed, including activities of daily living, transfers, and other direct care tasks within nursing scope.

Qualifications

Communication: Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English and job-specific terminology.

Physical Requirements: Ability to access the work area and perform duties safely using standard and specialized equipment. Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction). Must lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and demonstrate strength and agility.

Education: Successful completion of a Registered Nurse course of study.

Experience: 3-5 years of related experience preferred. Extensive knowledge of insurance coverage, contracts, and documentation regulations is a plus.

Credentials: RN license in good standing in Nebraska or other Nurse Compact state required. Resident Assessment Coordinator - Certified (RAC-CT) preferred. BLS CPR certification required and must be kept current. Must meet all vaccination requirements of Tabitha.
