The MDS Coordinator will ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines for MDS, manage Medicaid and Medicare RUGs/PDPM, and oversee documentation. Strong knowledge of Quality Measures and Five-Star Rating is essential. RN license preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse in Ohio and valid licensure.
• Minimum 1 year of MDS Coordinator or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of MDS 3.0 guidelines and SNF regulations.
• Understanding of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement processes.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management.
• Proficient with EHR and MDS software; team player.

Position Overview

The MDS Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines related to the Minimum Data Set (MDS), and will be responsible for managing Medicaid and Medicare RUGs/PDPM, Medicaid Case Mix, and meeting Medicare criteria, including all required supportive documentation. A strong understanding of Quality Measures and the Five-Star Quality Rating System is essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse in the State of Ohio (RN Preffered)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an MDS Coordinator or equivalent role
• Strong understanding of MDS 3.0 guidelines and skilled nursing facility regulations
• Knowledge of the Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement process
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and MDS software systems preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
