Job summary

EY is seeking a Functional Architect to lead Oracle Utilities MDM engagements, translating client requirements into working solutions. You’ll mentor teams, engage with executives, and contribute to sales and practice development for Power & Utilities clients.

Travel up to 75% and strong communication skills are essential. In this role, you’ll coordinate design workshops, manage risk, and ensure successful rollouts across client environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• In depth understanding of the Meter Data Management functions
• Proven track record of at least 5, preferably 10+ years of successful Oracle Utilities relevant implementations
• Experience with Oracle Utilities Application Framework
• Proven Oracle Utilities product implementation knowledge
• Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with customers, across different departments and levels within the company
• Proven track record of business change management; strong knowledge of Oracle Utility software; excellent communication skills
• Proficient knowledge of information technology and business consulting practice
• Superior skills include business analysis, process facilitation, change management, creative and critical thinking, superior written and verbal communications, technical writing, problem solving, presentations, and public speaking
• Handle multiple assignments within a fast-paced environment with potential conflicting schedules.
• Positive, “can do” attitude and ability to work in a team environment
• Willingness to travel up to 75%, valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Lead the orchestration of creative and practical MDM Oracle Utility software solutions that meet customers’ business requirements.
• Identify and document customer needs and opportunities; align objectives with client direction.
• Plan, facilitate and manage fact-finding and analysis sessions.
• Design and configure application software.
• Analyze requirements and review system capabilities to define solution parameters.
• Lead design workshops and manage functional scope to reduce risks.
• Conduct business process analysis to ensure all impacted areas are addressed for rollout.
• Coordinate Functional, Interfaces, and Change Management focus areas and deliverables.
• Lead Planning and Design activities, schedule workshops, and document outputs.
• Document data conversion strategies and assist with testing and defect resolution.
