Job summary

Kronospan in Anniston, AL is seeking a board lamination equipment operator trainee to safely and efficiently run the line and perform routine maintenance. You will monitor quality, operate related software, and collaborate with maintenance staff to prevent downtime.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, good attendance, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate board lamination equipment and related machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on machinery and workspaces.
• Understand and manipulate computer software related to the flooring line operation.
• Identify conditions leading to substandard quality or downtime and take corrective action.
• Assist operators and maintenance personnel in troubleshooting, repair, or preventive maintenance.

Job Description

Perform all assigned tasks, including but not limited to, the safe, efficient operation of the board lamination equipment and associated equipment. Additionally, the trainee will be required to perform routine maintenance and cleaning on all machinery and workspaces in the assigned area of responsibility. The assistant may be required to understand and manipulate computer software related to the operation of the flooring line and associated equipment. The trainee will also be required to identify conditions which may lead to substandard quality or up-time and initiate the proper corrective action. Further duties may include assisting operators and maintenance personnel in the troubleshooting, repair, or preventive maintenance of equipment.

This is a rotating shift schedule position
