GovSG in Huntsville, AL seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to join the C3BM systems engineering team. You will contribute to C2BMC integration, future concept work, and multinational exchange designs, operating on-site in Huntsville.

The role requires a TS-level or higher clearance, a Master’s in STEM, and 12+ years in missile defense programs. You’ll lead SE processes, evaluate sensor integration, and present to executives and operators.

GovSG is looking for an amazing Principal Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be part of the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) systems engineering efforts to include engaging in Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) technical engineering and integration, future concepts, new functionality, and multi-national exchange designs.

This is an on-site position in Huntsville, AL.

Position Duties:

• Responsible for conducting system engineering support in planning and executing space system data exploitation capabilities for missile tracking, discrimination, and cueing.
• Responsibilities include the following: Cruise Missile Indications and Warning development; Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) integration, Enterprise Sensors Lab (ESL) prototype evaluation, and fielding Enterprise Sensors Processing Node (ESPN) operational capabilities. Coordinate and actively participate in technical reviews at SECRET and TS levels.
• Evaluate performance of Infrared data exploitation capabilities during real world events and assist with assessing and integrating new infrared sensors into the MDA/DCC portfolio of capabilities.
• Prepare and present explanatory briefings for operators, developers and executive leaders and assist program manager in all acquisition actions to get contractors on contract, coordinate to obtain all required Government Furnished Equipment and Information, and assess overall contractor performance.
• Other duties as assigned

Position Required:

• Secret Clearance or higher required
• 12+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project
• Master's Degree in STEM required
• Proficiency in system engineering and execution processes
• Must have some experience with or knowledge of missile defense weapon systems, radars, C2BMC or BMDS OPIR Architecture (BOA).
• Capable of leading implementation of system engineering processes to facilitate integration and transition of emerging capabilities into operations.
• Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Current Top Secret/with SCI eligibility is preferred
• Ability to assess maturity of software code and overall Technology Readiness Levels

Salary: $145,000-165,000. Actual compensation offered to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
