Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as an RN/Charge RN in a CVICU/MCS setting.
• Must adhere to safety checks and emergency protocols for MCS devices.
• Experience in recovery of open heart surgeries, vascular and thoracic surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Cares for and assists patients on MCS devices.
• Monitors pump functions and administers medications as prescribed.
• Manages planned and emergent disruption of MCS.

Skills

Competent in charge nurse & preceptor roles

Proficient in ECMO, LVAD, impella, CRRT, IABP

Ability to multitask and react under pressure

Active RN license in Arkansas

BLS certification

ACLS certification
