- Job Description: The Macon County Law Enforcement Training Center is seeking instructors for 560‑hour Basic Law Enforcement Academy, 200‑hour Basic Corrections Academy, and various in‑service courses offered at the facility.
- Required Qualifications: Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in their areas of expertise and be able to pass a background check (if applicable). Candidates must have successfully passed a recognized Instructor Development School (IDS) and received instructor certification through the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board and/or local Mobile Training Unit. Candidates without the IDS or certifications may still apply but must work with the MCLETC Commander or designee to obtain the requirements before employment. Applicants must submit a recommendation letter from their current supervisor or other professional, if not employed, along with the application materials.
