Job summary

The AMES Companies, McClure, PA, seeks a McClure Mechanical Specialist I - 1st Shift to perform industrial mechanical and basic electrical repairs on production equipment. You will follow safety and code requirements and work under maintenance supervision, Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues, participate in improvements, and ensure accurate timekeeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 7–10 years related experience.
• Advanced mechanical knowledge with basic electrical proficiency.
• Strong understanding of industrial equipment.
• LOTO Certification.
• Electrical theory and applications training.
• Use required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical repairs and basic electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments.
• Perform work up to—but not including—adjustments or repairs of computerized controls.
• Set up and operate equipment requiring basic electrical adjustments.
• Provide personal hand tools not supplied by the department.
• Accurately account for all working time.
• Communicate issues to supervisors and team members.
• Perform duties safely and professionally.
• Comply with company policies.
• Work effectively in a team environment and maintain attendance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support operations and business needs.

Our The Mechanical Specialist I performs industrial mechanical and basic electrical repairs to production equipment and systems. This role follows all safety and code requirements and works under the direction of maintenance supervision and/or management. Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm.

WHERE YOU WILL WORK

Our Woodmill is located in McClure, PA.
