Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an in-person MCAT instructor to deliver sessions across Southern California and beyond. You will tailor content with stakeholders, build a curated curriculum, and guide students to develop critical thinking skills in the sciences. Training and professional development are provided, with some remote onboarding.

Travel to different locations is required as business needs and availability dictate; independence and adaptability are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• MCAT score at or above 515.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work independently with a remote manager.
• Passion for helping others achieve goals.
• Ability to adapt to changing needs with agility.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-person MCAT sessions across multiple regional locations.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to tailor content.
• Prepare future doctors using curated curricula and effective teaching methods.
• Support students before, during, and after sessions to foster critical thinking.
• Continue learning through professional training and development, remotely when needed.
• Travel to various Southern California locations and other serviced areas.

Job description

Teach in-person MCAT preparation sessions across a variety of regional locations
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver MCAT preparation and/or other educational content tailored to student needs
Prepare future doctors for the MCAT using teaching methods and a curated curriculum
Support students in and out of class, enabling critical thinking across the sciences
Continue learning through professional training, coaching, and development
Complete training and class preparation remotely from home
Travel to different locations across Southern California and other serviced locations as needed

Requirements

• MCAT score above 515
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work independently with a remote manager
• Passion for helping others achieve their goals
• Ability to respond to quickly changing needs with agility and flexibility
• Willingness and ability to travel as required; lead time, locations, and dates determined by business needs and availability
