Job summary

Jobtailor in Chicago seeks an experienced MCAT instructor to lead in-person prep sessions across the Chicagoland area, travel between sites, and tailor content to student needs. You will support learners before, during, and after classes, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and continue professional development through training and coaching.

Remote training from home is also part of the role, with opportunities to connect with colleagues remotely.

Qualifications

• MCAT score above 515.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work independently with a remote manager
• Travel willingness across Chicagoland as needed

Responsibilities

• Teach in-person MCAT sessions across regional locations.

Job description

• Teach in-person MCAT preparation sessions across a variety of regional locations
• Travel to different locations across the Chicagoland area to teach MCAT preparation classes
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver MCAT prep and/or other educational content tailored to student needs
• Prepare future doctors for the MCAT using teaching methods and a curated curriculum
• Support students in and out of class, enabling critical-thinking problem solving across the sciences
• Complete training and class preparation remotely from home
• Continue learning through professional training, coaching, and development
• Connect with colleagues remotely

Requirements

• Scores above 515 on the MCAT
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work independently with a remote manager
• Passion for helping others achieve their goals
• Ability to respond to quickly changing needs with agility and flexibility
• Travel required; lead time, locations, and dates determined by business needs and availability
• Current medical students, gap-year graduates, upper-level undergraduates preparing for medical school applications, Master's graduates, PhD candidates, or post-doctoral researchers are identified as a good fit
