Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking an MCAD Tools Application Engineer to maintain a stable set of MCAD tools and databases for electrical design, layout, and simulation engineers working on a leading-edge LEO satellite constellation.

You will develop custom features, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide technical support to enable rapid development in a fast-paced environment. Strong CAD, PLM, and software integration experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years experience in CAD software customization, with a strong focus on Siemens NX.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, and Python and other .NET languages.
• Strong understanding of 3D modeling, engineering drawings, and PLM concepts.
• Experience integrating CAD systems with other enterprise software (e.g., PLM, ERP, simulation tools).

Responsibilities

• Provide a stable, reliable set of MCAD tools and database management for electrical engineering design, layout, and simulation engineers.
• Develop custom features and functionality, collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical support.
• Create and develop processes to enable successful and rapid development of a leading-edge LEO satellite constellation.
• Support tool needs and ensure rapid development in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
