MasterCraft Boat Company seeks a skilled fiberglass laminator to lay up chop/mat, biaxial, woven and foam into boat decks, hulls and liners. The role requires applying resin and smoothing with brushes and rollers to ensure quality finishes.
Applicants should have GED or equivalent preferred and lamination experience; reading instructions is essential. PPE including gloves, respirator, and safety glasses is required in a dynamic production environment.
Laying in and rolling of chop/mat, biaxial, woven and foam into decks, hulls and liners. Apply sheets of fiberglass and liquid resin to mold of boat and smooth out with brushes and rollers.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum education level required, however GED or equivalent preferred. Previous lamination experience preferred. Must be able to read and understand instructions.
Must wear personal protective equipment, including gloves, apron, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, safety glasses and a respirator. Plant environment varies with outside temperature and noise levels vary in different production areas.
Language skills - Able to understand spoken instructions with regard to job training and safety concerns and the ability to speak conversational English.
Reasoning skills - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed finishing of all products. Ability to deal with changes related to equipment use and productivity.
