Job summary

MasterCraft Boat Company in Vonore, TN is seeking a Full Time Direct Labor worker to support boat deck and hull production through lamination and finishing tasks.

You will follow safety policies, operate resin guns and rollers, and maintain a clean workstation. Prior fiberglass layup experience is preferred, and the ability to read instructions is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum education GED or equivalent preferred.
• Previous lamination experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand instructions.

Responsibilities

• Lays in and rolls chop/mat, biaxial, woven and foam into decks, hulls and liners.
• Applies sheets of fiberglass and liquid resin to mold and smooths with brushes/rollers.
• Sprays fiberglass and/or lays sheets on part mold.
• Cuts and trims material to fit part using scissors/knife.
• Uses resin gun to wet out part and air rolls to remove air bubbles.
• Maintains wet out system, cleans tools, and disposes of chemicals properly.

General Description of Position:

Laying in and rolling of chop/mat, biaxial, woven and foam into decks, hulls and liners. Apply sheets of fiberglass and liquid resin to mold of boat and smooth out with brushes and rollers.

• Reports to work on time for designated shift.
• Adheres to company safety policies and procedures.
• Sprays fiberglass and/or lays sheets of fiberglass on part mold.
• Cuts and trims material to fit part using scissors and knife.
• Uses resin gun to wet out part.
• Air rolls part using air roller to remove air bubbles from part.
• Maintains wet out system, cleans tools, and disposes of chemicals in proper areas.
• Responsible for clean and orderly workstation.
• Move parts from station to station.

Duties (Non-Essential):Performs related duties as assigned.

Education & Work Experience: Minimum education level required, however GED or equivalent preferred. Previous lamination experience preferred. Must be able to read and understand instructions.

Environmental Conditions:Must wear personal protective equipment, including gloves, apron, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, safety glasses and a respirator. Plant environment varies with outside temperature and noise levels vary in different production areas.

Language skills - Able to understand spoken instructions with regard to job training and safety concerns and the ability to speak conversational English.

Reasoning skills - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed finishing of all products. Ability to deal with changes related to equipment use and productivity.
