Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC seeks an MBSE-focused engineer to develop and maintain architecture models supporting HWIL capabilities and mechanical design solutions. You will work on requirements, state diagrams, and SysML-based views to guide system development.

Required 5+ years in MBSE, Cameo, and CAD tools, with experience in functional modelling, DOORS, and OSA principles. Hybrid/work from Texas options may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical/Systems Engineering or related).
• At least 5 years MBSE experience in Cameo.
• At least 5 years in system functionality definition (state diagrams/operational modes).
• Experience with CAD tools (Creo, I-DEAS) and MBPD concepts.
• Experience using Cameo SysML-based modelling tool.
• Ability to design with OSA principles and SysML-based tools.
• Familiar with DOORs or similar requirements tracking tools.
• Strong requirements generation, decomposition, and translating needs into architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage MBSE requirements and models for RF/IR capabilities using SysML-based design.
• Create architectural views (IBDs, BDDs, Use Cases, Functional Diagrams) to support system design.
• Collaborate with HWIL engineers to keep MBSE models current and aligned with program needs.
• Independently develop mechanical designs using solid models and release engineering drawings.
• Review sources to ensure requirements flow into detailed product design.
• Coordinate with configuration management and manufacturing to meet program requirements and schedules.
• Release accurate, producible, and cost-effective engineering designs.
