Job summary

Verity Integrated Systems, Inc. seeks an experienced Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) with 5–10 years of systems engineering. You will apply MBSE, digital engineering, and disciplined processes to translate needs into requirements, architectures, and verification strategies across the system lifecycle.

You will collaborate with government customers, subsystems, software, hardware, cybersecurity, test, and other teams to ensure traceability and robust design baselines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5–10 years of systems engineering experience, preferably in defense/aerospace.
• Demonstrated MBSE experience across the system development lifecycle.
• Strong working knowledge of SysML.
• Experience with MBSE tools: Cameo, CATIA Magic, MagicDraw.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS, DOORS Next, Jama Connect.
• Experience developing, decomposing, deriving, allocating, tracing, and verifying system requirements.
• Experience developing functional, logical, and physical architectures.
• Experience with system interface definition and management.
• Strong writing, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage system architecture models using SysML and MBSE.
• Develop operational, functional, logical, and physical architectures for complex defense systems.
• Translate capability needs and requirements into well-defined system requirements.
• Perform requirements decomposition, derivation, allocation, traceability, and verification planning.
• Maintain bidirectional traceability between mission needs, requirements, interfaces, and verification evidence.
• Perform functional analysis and allocate functions to hardware, software, operators, and external systems.
• Define, document, and manage internal and external interfaces.
• Support ICDs and interface requirements development and maintenance.
• Contribute to system requirements specs, architecture descriptions, and verification plans.
• Conduct trade studies and architecture evaluations to support decisions.
• Assist in V&V strategy development and requirements-to-test traceability.
• Support baselines and configuration management of system artifacts.
• Collaborate with government and contractor teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
