Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer to join the IFPC Inc 2 team in Huntsville, AL. You will develop MBSE artifacts using SysML in Cameo Systems Modeler, define system architecture and interfaces, and work with program management and design engineers through the life cycle.

The role requires independent work with MBSE content, collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams, and potential customer-facing design reviews.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited university with 12+ years of experience or an MS with 10+ years.
Experience using MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler and/or other MBSE modeling tools.
Capable of collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in a engineering environment.
Effective communication within a team environment.

Responsibilities

Develop MBSE artifacts using SysML in Cameo Systems Modeler and related tools.
Define system architecture, interfaces, and behavioral content (bdd/ibd, act/stm).
Create requirements specifications, test procedures, and test reports.
Present MBSE artifacts in design reviews and interface with customers as needed.
