Job summary

KBR in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Systems Engineer for Digital Engineering to advance MBSE-driven architecture for DoD Space programs. You will develop and integrate model-based systems using SysML/UML, support requirements traceability, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver space-ground system solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field, 2+ years' experience in digital systems design, and an active SECRET clearance; familiarity with agile and DevOps

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years’ experience in digital systems design and integration.
• Proven experience in systems architecture development within Defense or regulated environments.
• Strong proficiency in MBSE methodologies and tools (SysML, UML).
• Active SECRET clearance

Responsibilities

• Planning and executing MBSE model development to support architecture development and digital engineering initiatives in support of program milestones.
• Applying MBSE tools and techniques to capture system functions, services, interfaces, requirements, and concept of operations to support system design.
• Supporting requirements analysis and functional allocation to hardware, software, operator and other segments and components of the system(s) within the models.
• Production of model views, including DoDAF products, to support program milestones and documentation.
• Enable the generation of systems engineering documentation for requirements, ICDs, systems design, CONOPS, verification and test.
• Supporting analysis activities utilizing MBSE models and tools such as Cameo.
• Supporting development of study plans for architecture development and special trade studies.
• Collaborating with prime contractors, other team contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. Space Force.
