Role Overview

Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated professionals who assist the US Space Force in developing and deploying the next generation of satellites and ground systems for Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT). The Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team has an immediate need for a Systems Engineer with experience applying Model Based Systems Engineering tools and techniques for Department of Defense space-based systems. The candidate will provide systems engineering and integration expertise in support of Space Systems Command (SSC) PNT programs and will support requirements development and management, including traceability analysis, change impact, technical baseline integration, verification planning and execution, CONOPS, and risk management of mission capabilities.

Major Duties of the Position

• Planning and executing MBSE model development to support architecture development and digital engineering initiatives in support of program milestones.
• Applying MBSE tools and techniques to capture system functions, services, interfaces, requirements, and CONOPS to support system design.
• Supporting requirements analysis and functional allocation to hardware, software, operator and other segments and components of the system(s) within the models.
• Production of model views, including DoDAF products, to support program milestones and documentation.
• Enable the generation of systems engineering documentation for requirements, ICDs, systems design, CONOPS, verification and test.
• Supporting analysis activities utilizing MBSE models and tools such as Cameo.
• Supporting development of study plans for architecture development and special trade studies.
• Collaborating with prime contractors, other team contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. Space Force.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years' experience in digital systems design and integration.
• Proven experience in systems architecture development within Defense or regulated environments.
• Strong proficiency in MBSE methodologies and tools (SysML, UML).
• Active SECRET clearance.

Desired Skills

• Master's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in innovation, capability development, and Agile/SAFe frameworks.
• Familiarity with DevOps, coding languages (Python, JavaScript), and secure systems design.

Compensation and Benefits

• Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
• Basic Compensation: $90 to $130k
