Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Model-Based Systems Engineer to create, integrate, and apply interdisciplinary digital models from concept through the lifecycle on space-ground systems. You will define TRDs/ICDs/IDDs using digital engineering best practices and mentor junior staff.

Requires 5+ years in DoD systems engineering, MBSE, and DoD government systems; knowledge of SysML/DoDAF; and a Bachelor’s in STEM. Secret clearance desirable; multiple certifications a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with large-scale DoD weapon systems acquisition missions and systems engineering and integration.
• 5+ years of experience performing systems engineering analysis and developing systems engineering products for DoD or government systems.
• 5+ years of experience with practical MBSE for development of technical specifications, interface control documents, and system architecture, including using digital engineering tools such as Cameo or MagicDraw, SparxEA, DOORS, or IBM Rhapsody.
• Knowledge of Systems Modeling Language(SysML) and DoD Architecture Framework(DoDAF)
• Ability to perform multiple systems engineering and program management functions in support of design reviews and requirements verification
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field

Responsibilities

• Create, integrate, and apply interdisciplinary digital models of products from concept throughout the product lifecycle on critical and complex ground systems that support Space Sensing.
• Define TRDs, ICDs, and IDDs using digital engineering best practices.
• Apply extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge.
• Work independently to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Mentor and may supervise team members.
