Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a MBSE Systems Engineer (Engineer or Principal Engineer) to join our team in Melbourne, FL. You will perform system engineering activities across all lifecycle stages and develop Features for ARTs to meet customer capabilities.

The role requires MBSE/SysML experience with Rhapsody or Cameo, and active US Secret clearance. Salary ranges cited; relocation may be available and a discretionary bonus potential exists.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s of Science degree in a STEM field and at least 2 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM field and at least some of relevant military / professional experience
• At the Principal Engineer Level: must have a Bachelor’s of Science degree in a STEM field and at least 5 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM field and at least 3 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 1 year of relevant military / professional / academic experience
• Must have an active US Government Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Must be able to obtain additional Special Access Program (SAP) clearance before establishing a start date (contingency).
• Must have experience with MBSE/SysML Modeling, with software Rhapsody, Cameo, or another modeling tool with similar purpose.

Responsibilities

• Performs systems integration, and verification for total systems.
• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software features.
• Support Feature Definition, management, analysis, and traceability, to translate customer requirements and CONOPS into Features, and further allocate to lower levels.
• Coordinate across ARTs to ensure full decomposition of Features
• Define and execute overall system verification plan and associated products for FCA. Coordinate verification with ARTs to ensure proper verification roll-up. Manage overall verification products in support of system sell-off.
• Work on an agile team utilizing Jira to track work progress
