Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a systems engineering professional to advance model-based systems engineering (MBSE) across submarine design programs. The role focuses on assessing current MBSE practices, leading pilot efforts with stakeholders, and evaluating digital toolsets to scale MBSE capabilities.

You will model submarine systems in Cameo Systems Modeler, develop end-state plans, and work with Navy and industry partners to ensure alignment with customer needs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering.
• 0-2 years of post graduate experience in Engineering.
• Training and/or experience with Dassault Systems Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Familiarity with systems engineering processes and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Assess current MBSE processes to identify best practices and lessons learned for scaling.
• Lead and/or support MBSE piloting efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assess costs and benefits of potential MBSE program and digital toolset solutions.
• Lead and/or support scoping and execution of working groups to coordinate MBSE efforts.
• Model submarine systems using Cameo Systems Modeler; create functional and logical models.
• Develop iterative plans to achieve MBSE end-state, including processes and tooling.
• Coordinate with Navy and industry partners to align MBSE implementation.
• Interact with EB and Navy leadership and with partners.
