Job summary
Newport News Shipbuilding seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to support the development and implementation of Systems Engineering across submarine, carrier, and facility programs. You will translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications while ensuring cost and schedule constraints are respected.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering from an ABET-accredited program, MBSE tool experience (Cameo/Cradle/DOORS), and collaboration with diverse engineering teams.
Qualifications

- Master’s Degree (optional) with relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of systems engineering on active NNS programs across the systems lifecycle.
- Develop and refine systems engineering processes, frameworks, and best practices for future programs.
- Collaborate with discipline engineering teams, program management, and external stakeholders.
- Drive MBSE adoption to enhance efficiency and decision making.
