Job summary

You will contribute to MBSE-driven design, simulation, and validation, while guiding project teams and interfacing with customers to shape future platforms.

The role emphasizes leadership in R&D and NPI programs, with a strong focus on process improvement and mentorship of junior engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field from an accredited university or college
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Model Based Systems Engineering
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance (must be able to obtain/preserve clearance)

Responsibilities

• Understand digital program requirements and operate within a matrix organization to execute all digital aspects of the program.
• Perform model-based systems design and simulation to evaluate architectures and automate validation/verification.
• Define and streamline systems engineering processes for rapid, cost-effective execution of advanced technology programs using MBSE techniques and tools.
• Provide system engineering leadership on R&D and New Product Introduction programs.
• Allocate system functional requirements into efficient software/firmware architectures.
• Develop innovative technical solutions leveraging GE Edison Works on development programs and proposals.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and guide project teams.
• Streamline processes to enable quick, cost-effective program execution.
• Create and maintain systems engineering planning documents.
• Interact with customer engineering to shape future platform requirements.
• Model and analyze system safety aspects of product design.
