Job summary

QTEC Aerospace is seeking an MBSE Systems Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. The successful candidate will contribute to Air & Missile Defense programs as part of a multi-contractor team, applying MBSE practices to complex systems challenges.

Responsibilities include requirement analysis, system interfaces, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure proper architecture and behavior across the lifecycle. A strong communication skill set and mission focus are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of related experience
  • Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment
  • Experience with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo or MagicDraw)
  • Proven ability to understand and define system interfaces, architecture, and behavior
  • Experience with requirements analysis, system architecture, and interface definition
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
  • Self-motivated and mission-focused

  • Analyze, define, and manage system-level requirements, interfaces, and architectures supporting air defense to ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into solutions that consider technical, schedule, and cost constraints
  • Build deep knowledge of integrated air and missile defense concepts, including sensors, weapons, communications, and command-and-control systems
  • Apply MBSE techniques and tools such as Cameo or MagicDraw to support system design and analysis
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure system components interface correctly and fulfill mission objectives
  • Maintain clear links between requirements, design elements, and test cases; manage changes and impact assessments across the system lifecycle

QTEC Aerospace is seeking a MBSE SYSTEMS ENGINEER to join our team of professionals in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.

Job Summary

QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidate will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Air & Missile Defense programs. The selected engineer will have Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience and contribute to work on complex systems-level challenges, collaborate across disciplines, and help develop solutions that shape the future of Army Air Defense.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:

Desired Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Technical experience with Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) systems and sensors (e.g., PATRIOT, THAAD, LTAMDS, etc.) and their impact on a command-and-control system's architecture, requirements, and interfaces for communications between these systems
  • Systems Engineering experience in Agile development environment
  • Experience with Jira and other Atlassian tools
  • Knowledge of Link-16 and/or other tactical data links
  • Ability to conduct requirements impact assessments and contribute to engineering change proposals

Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.
